A memorial service is the gathering. It can come before, after, or instead of cremation. We coordinate the location, the order, the program, the music, the live-stream, and the small ritual at the end. We do not coordinate three-day visitations or full processionals. Our services are intentionally single-occasion.
In our chapel — $3,200 with cremation, $2,400 without
Our Belltown chapel seats forty. The room is light, modern, and quiet. A single panel of windows along the west wall lets in the late-afternoon Seattle light. We can configure the room for a fully secular gathering or a service with religious elements, depending on the family's wishes.
Live-stream is included at no extra cost. We have an officiant on call if the family doesn't have one in mind. We do not run scripts; we listen first, write the order together, then conduct it.
At your home or another location — $2,400
Many families prefer to gather where the person actually lived — the living room, a back garden, the deck of a cabin on the Hood Canal. We will coordinate it. We bring a portable sound system, the printed program, and one of us is present as the family's stage manager for the day.
What's included
- Service coordination — three planning meetings before the day; one of our staff present at the service.
- Chapel or location prep — flowers (you choose the florist; we coordinate), program design + printing, sound system.
- Live-stream — recorded and stored for one year, accessible by private link.
- Officiant referral — if you need one. We work with three Seattle officiants we trust.
- Order of service writing — Amelia drafts a working order based on your wishes; you edit, we finalize.
